2. How secure is it? The process is similar to property in the north where titles, liens and registrations are all researched beforehand and during the purchase process. The paperwork on this property is solid. A very important feature when you make a real estate purchase in Mexico.
3. To live and work here, you will need what is called an FM3. This is accomplished when the corporation offers you employment in formal letter form, and this, with other documentation is presented to Mexican Immigration. The current owner and the owner's Mexican business associates will assist you with this part of the process.
4. Yes, you must have Mexican employees. The owner's title/job description is administrator/manager. This will be the purchaser's job. You will also paint, clean, build, promote, etc. The important thing is to NOT do things professionally or publicly.
5. Minimum wage in Mexico is roughly $50 pesos per day. Here we pay well to keep good staff happy, around $160 peso per day. Current Mexican law requires theat we pay Christmas bonus, Statutory Holidays, severance pay and health care. All of these are based on wages paid. All are reasonable.
6. Who handles the transaction? A notary licensed by the Mexican government acts as civil attorney and escrow officer.
